Educational Programs

The Stan Mahoney Scholarship fund was created in memory of Stan Mahoney, our former executive director, who led the organization for many years and was the driving force in the effort to have Wolf Bay designated as an OAW. It is meant to honor his memory and help support a graduating high school student pursuing an undergraduate degree in an environmentally-related field of study. Students selected to be awarded should be driven in academics, extracurricular activities, and community involvement

A percentage of the proceeds received from the Stan Mahoney’s Annual Youth Fishing tournament fund the awarded scholarship.

Highschool Scholorship

The Stan Mahoney Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to outstanding high school seniors pursuing a degree in an environmental related field. This scholarship is managed through the South Baldwin Education Foundation.
